I can't wait to get started.
This year, we are embracing the concept of starting the day with play. Your child will start the day playing with friends in a classroom that encourages a lot of talking - which leads to a lot of learning! Let's go!

Reading at home
We will begin sending home books as soon as possible. If your child brings home a book that is too challenging or too easy - that's OK. It is important that they love books and select books they want to read. I will also be sending home "just right" books that your child should be able to read, but may possibly need to work on to improve fluency.
Starting the day with play
Through play the children acquire social, emotional and academic skills.
A quick look at some of the skills they are learning:

WHat day is gym? (And music, and library?!)
Library with Ms. Copeman is every Tuesday morning.
Physical Education with Mr. Foot takes place on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Clean, comfortable sneakers are key! Music Class with Mrs. Higgins is every Monday and Wednesday, but on the days without music class, Ms. C. sings hits from the 80's. #purplerainforever :) |
