A little about me...
I've been teaching since 1999 in a variety of schools and grades from Primary to Nine, in English and French. I've taught in Cape Breton, rural Nova Scotia, Toronto, and I've been calling Hawthorn School my home away from home for over six years.
I love teaching young people to read and write, and it's fascinating to see them develop the needed communication skills each morning as we start the day with play. I'm the mother of three boys - Jonathan (the engineer), Sam (the cube solver/trampoliner) and Jack (the ball player), and as the year progresses, your child is sure to hear all about them! If you have any questions or concerns or would like to discuss volunteering at school in any capacity, please contact me by email ([email protected] or [email protected]) or by calling the school at 902-464-2048. If I don't get back to you within a day or two, don't hesitate to check with me! (Technology sometimes fails!) Of course, you can always write a note in your child's message bag. In the event of an emergency or urgent situation, please explain the situation to our amazing secretary, Anne Urquart, or our fabulous administrators, in order to avoid delays. |
